Welcome to this weeks Newsletter.

Parliament will sit again next week and we will continue to make reforms that address today’s challenges whilst building for tomorrow.

I look forward to representing our community in Canberra.

Fee-Free TAFE Places

I joined the Minister for Skills and Training, the Hon Brendan O’Connor, to talk about the fee-free TAFE places on offer.

Fee-free TAFE will give Australians the opportunity to train and acquire skills for well-paying and secure jobs whilst helping ease the skills shortages affecting the Australian economy.

New Energy Apprenticeships

The transition to a net-zero economy will require skilled workers to build and install the clean energy infrastructure needed.

That’s why the Albanese Government is spending $95.6 million over nine years to support 10,000 New Energy Apprenticeships. Eligible apprentices will receive up to $10,000 over the course of their apprenticeship to assist with the cost of living.

This program will help to ensure that Australia can reap the benefits of the transition to net-zero and support Australians in acquiring the skills necessary for the future.

Energy Efficiency Grants

The Albanese Government has published guidelines for the Energy Efficiency Grants for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Grants of between $10,000 and $25,000 will be made available to help SMEs become more energy efficient and lower their power bills while reducing emissions.

Round 1 of the program opens on 6 March 2023, 10am AEDT and closes on 19 April 2023, 5pm AEDT.

Council Clean-Up

If you have rubbish that you need to get rid of, don’t just dump it or leave it on the nature strip. While fines may apply, dumped rubbish can overtake footpath and be dangerous and unsightly.

Councils offer clean-up services for general waste, white goods and mattresses, so if you need any assistance click your council below for more information and how to book the services.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you need any support at Anne.Stanley.MP@aph.gov.au or 8783 0977.
