Happy New Year

I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year and all the best for 2023! I look forward to representing our community and working with the Albanese Government to deliver on our commitments in 2023.

We are delivering on cheaper childcare, fee-free TAFE places, investing in local manufacturing and holding a referendum to enshrine an Indigenous Voice to Parliament.

This year we will continue to act on the urgent challenges facing Australia and build on our long term opportunities.

Fee-free TAFE places

The Albanese Government is giving more Australians the skills and training they need, providing fee-free TAFE courses in areas of high demand including childcare, aged care, hospitality, tourism and construction.

Whether you are a recent school leaver or looking to retrain and up-skill, this is a great opportunity.

Australia Day Events

Liverpool, Campbelltown and Fairfield City Councils will all be holding Australia Day events and activities.

So if you are interested in spending Australia Day locally I encourage you to visit the council websites, linked below, for more information.

Liverpool City Council will be holding activities at two parks, Macquarie Mall in Liverpool and Jersey Park in Miller.

The Australian Turf Club will also be holding an event at Racecourse in Warwick Farm.

Fairfield City Council will be holding events at Prairewood Leisure Centre, Fairfield Leisure Centre and the Fairfield Youth and Community Centre.

Pool entry will be free.

Campbelltown City Council are holding an event at Koshigaya Park.

Starting at 4pm there will be lots of fun activities and will conclude with a 9pm fireworks display.

Beach Safety

As the weather warms up and we enjoy the summer weather, please remember to stay safe at the beach and pools. Ensure you always swim between the flags, watch out for rips, supervise children and make sure to slip, slop and slap.
