Election Anniversary

Seven years ago the people of Werriwa elected me to represent them in the House of Representatives. It’s an honour that I have never taken for granted.

In those seven years our community has been through multiple once-in-a-lifetime events yet each time we have preserved.

I am incredibly proud to represent the community I grew up in and the diverse and resilient community we all call home.

Medal of the Order of Australia

I met with Mr Robert Grimson OAM and Mrs Ruth Grimson OAM who recently received the Medal of the Order of Australia for their 40 years of service to our community.

Minister Rishworth Visits the Mission Australia Miller Hub

I would like to thank the Minister for Social Services, the Hon Amanda Rishworth MP, for visiting the Mission Australia Hub in Miller to hear from the incredible staff about the services that they provide.

The Hub provides family mental health support, community preschool, emergency relief and administers various programs including Communities for Children and Star4Kids.

It is important to have a place for people to feel safe and secure and the Hub has made a significant difference in our community.

Our community is better because of the efforts and hard work of the staff at Mission Australia. Thank you for all that you do.

Minister Clare Visits Western Sydney

The Albanese Government’s cheaper child care changes began on 1 July 2023 and more than 7,400 families in Werriwa will benefit.

It was great to visit Scribbles & Giggles Childcare Centre with the Minister for Education, the Hon Jason Clare MP, and Dr Mike Freelander MP.

This change is good for children, good for families and good for Australia.

1 July 2023 Measures

The Albanese Government is delivering on the promises that we took to the 2022 election as well as reducing the pressures on Australian households and addressing the cost of living crisis.
