Energy Efficiency Grants for Small and Medium Enterprises
Local businesses in Werriwa are encouraged to check their eligibility and apply for Round 2 of the Albanese Government’s Energy Efficiency Grants for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
The first round of grants awarded $15.5 million to 674 businesses and Round 2 will deliver a further $41 million to SMEs to improve their energy efficiency.
The funding will be allocated to states and territories in proportion to the national distribution of SMEs. Grants will be awarded on a first come, first-served basis until each jurisdiction’s funding allocation is exhausted.
Grants of between $10,000 and $25,000 are available to upgrade to more efficient equipment including replacing air conditioners with high efficiency units and older boilers with more efficient heat pumps. These upgrades will help local businesses lower their power bills and their emissions.
Applications for the grants will open across NSW on Monday, 26 February 2024.
