New Facilities for Staff and Students at Unity Grammar College

Member for Werriwa, Anne Stanley MP, today opened a new three-story Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) building at Unity Grammar College which will improve student educational outcomes.

Ms Stanley said work on the development project was delivered with support of Australian Government funding of $500,000 through the Capital Grants Program.

“A lot of work has gone into this project which has delivered science laboratories, visual arts, design and technology rooms, general learning areas, staff areas, senior study rooms, as well as student and staff amenities, circulation spaces, rooftop open space, and two multipurpose rooms,” Ms Stanley said.

“These new facilities will provide school staff, teachers and students at Unity Grammar College with better, more modern spaces in which to work, teach and learn.

“The Australian Government is committed to providing all schools with appropriate funding so that all students, including those in Unity Grammar College, Austral, get the best possible education.”

Ms Stanley said the new facilities would benefit the students currently at Unity Grammar College, as well as the many students who will follow in future years.

“The teachers, staff and students at Unity Grammar College have built a strong and positive school community and these new facilities will further enhance our local educational opportunities,” Ms Stanley said.

“Our Government strongly believes in providing the best possible resources so that local students can realise their potential and develop the skills they need to go on to further study or to find a job.”
