$62 Million Grant Program to Help SMEs Lower Energy Bills

The Albanese Government has published guidelines for the Energy Efficiency Grants for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The program is designed to help SMEs become more energy efficient and lower their energy bills while reducing emissions.

The $62 million grants program will provide grants of between $10,000 and $25,000 to SMEs for energy-saving measures such as installing tools to monitor energy use, upgrading, or replacing existing air conditioners with high efficiency units or gas heating boilers with heat pumps.

“These grants will help businesses in the community with reducing their energy costs, increase their uptake of energy efficient technology and reduce their carbon emissions,” said Ms Anne Stanley MP.

There is a total of $16 million available for Round 1, opening at 10am AEDT on 6 March 2023 and closes at 5pm AEDT on 19 April 2023.
