As your Federal Member, but also as a lifelong resident of Werriwa, a mother, and a grandmother, I know just how important it is to have affordable and accessible healthcare close to home.
Like many families, I’ve spent plenty of time at the family GP, local emergency department, and medical centres when my loved ones needed care. I know first hand the difference a fully funded, free Medicare Urgent Care Clinic can make for a community—taking pressure off hospitals and ensuring families can get the care they need, without worrying about the cost. That’s why I’m working to bring one right here to Werriwa.
Why is this important?
Medicare Urgent Care Clinics provide bulk-billed, walk-in urgent care—seven days a week, with extended hours. They take pressure off our hospitals and make sure that you don’t have to choose between your health and your budget.
Our communities in Liverpool and Campbelltown already have these clinics, and they’ve helped over 14,000 patients get the care they need. Now, it’s time for Werriwa to have one too!
