Major Funding Boost For Veterans in Werriwa
The Albanese Government is further delivering on our commitment to improve access to services and supports for veterans and their families.
Today it was announced that RSL LifeCare will receive funding for the planning phase of the Bardia Barracks Veterans’ and Families’ Hub Project to support more than 1,497 veterans, plus their families in Werriwa.
RSL LifeCare will receive $243,100 through the Veteran Wellbeing Grants One-Off Program, which seeks to improve veteran and families’ services, supports, and coordination where it is needed most.
The Program was established to complement and build on the Government’s existing Veterans’ & Families’ Hubs program, in support of large-scale projects that will benefit the health and wellbeing of veterans and families.
Organisations like RSL LifeCare were invited to apply for funding for projects based on factors such as the nature and maturity of the project, the project’s ability to provide support to areas with significant Defence and veteran populations, local needs and the availability or access to existing services.
The Program demonstrates the Albanese Government’s ongoing commitment to providing support to established and innovative ex-service organisations and veteran service providers in the communities’ veterans live, to deliver a better future for veterans and families.
